Getting Started
New students are invited to begin with a free trial lesson. Families can schedule a trial by completing our online Free Trial form or contacting the DAMPA front desk.

The trial gives students an opportunity to meet their teacher, experience a lesson, and make sure the teacher, program, and schedule are a good fit before enrolling.

Enrollment
DAMPA operates year-round on a month-to-month basis with no long-term lesson contract.
Students may enroll online or with assistance from the front desk. Once enrolled, a student's recurring lesson time is reserved for them each week.

To discontinue lessons, families must submit a withdrawal request by the 15th of their final month. Tuition and enrollment continue through the end of that month.

School Calendar
DAMPA is open year-round, with scheduled holiday and school closures throughout the year. Upcoming closures, performances, events, and other important dates are published on the DAMPA calendar.

Tuition
Tuition is billed automatically on the 1st of each month and reserves the student's recurring weekly lesson time. If another billing date works better for your family, contact us to arrange a consistent alternate date each month.

Weekly private-lesson tuition:
30-minute lessons: $289/month
45-minute lessons: $369/month
60-minute lessons: $439/month

Tuition is a flat monthly rate for year-round enrollment and remains consistent regardless of the number of lesson dates in an individual month. Missed lessons, makeups, and lesson credits are governed by our Cancellations, Makeups & Credits Policy.

Students beginning mid-month receive prorated tuition for their first month.

All major credit cards are accepted. Payment information is entered and securely maintained through our payment processor; DAMPA does not store or handle complete card details.
Workshops, camps, productions, and other special programs may have separate tuition or registration fees.

Fees
Enrollment Fee — $50 one-time, per student
A one-time enrollment fee is charged when a new student enrolls at DAMPA. This helps cover the initial setup of the student's program and materials, including their DAMPA Student Binder, lesson organization materials, account and scheduling setup, and additional resources needed to begin lessons.

Annual Music, Licensing & Materials Fee — $40 annually, per student
A $40 fee is charged for each student at enrollment and annually thereafter on the student's enrollment anniversary. This fee helps cover the music and instructional resources students use throughout the year, including routine method and lesson books, sheet music, music printing, digital instructional resources, and DAMPA's annual ASCAP music licensing and other authorized music-use costs.

Rather than charging families each time a teacher needs a new book, piece of music, or routine instructional resource, this annual fee allows DAMPA to provide these materials throughout the year as part of the student's lessons.

Specialty materials, unusually large music orders, competition or audition materials, and resources required for certain productions or programs may be charged separately when applicable.

Past-Due Tuition
If an automatic payment is unsuccessful, DAMPA will notify the account holder so the payment method can be updated.

If tuition remains unpaid through the end of the billing month, the student’s recurring lesson time will be released. All outstanding tuition must be paid in full before lessons can resume. At that time, families may review the teacher's current availability with the front desk to select a new lesson time; the student's previous time cannot be guaranteed.
